The Swiss Precious Metals Transparency Platform has the purpose of providing the public with better insight into the origin of precious metals processed in Switzerland and their related details, and also of giving the Swiss Precious Metals Control Office a centralized place to access data for monitoring and verifying the activities of refineries.

Sponsored by the Swiss Precious Metals Association (ASMP), the platform is an expression of the association’s long-standing commitment to transparency, excellence, and open dialogue within the precious metals industry. Founded in 1978, the ASMP represents and supports Switzerland’s leading precious metal manufacturers and traders, whose members account for approximately 75% of the precious metals refined in Switzerland.

The ASMP wants the Swiss precious metals industry to be recognized as a worldwide leader for quality, reliability, responsibility and transparency by all stakeholders.
